Your journal is your space to grow as a player and teammate. We’ll use it to keep track of everything that helps you get better—on and off the court. Use it to take notes during book club, reflect on practices and games, and write down quotes or motivation that keep you focused. Jot down our systems, rotations, feedback, and skill notes so you can come back to them anytime. It’s also a great place to work on your mental game—set goals, stay positive, and remind yourself of what you’re capable of. Think of your journal as your personal highlight reel of effort, learning, and progress this season.
Your journal helps you stay focused, intentional, and confident during every practice. It’s not about perfection — it’s about effort, awareness, and growth.
Be on time! Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early so you can get settled and ready to go.
Copy the plan: Write the practice plan from the pink notebook into your journal so you know what’s coming.
Set your focus: Beside each skill, write down 2–3 specific things you want to work on today. (Keep these in the back of your mind — focus on the process, not the outcome.)
Stay connected: Keep your journal nearby so you can glance at your goals during water breaks and check in with yourself.
Reflect after practice: Give yourself a score from 1–10 for how well you stayed intentional and worked toward your goals — not how “well” you performed them.
Add mindset notes: Write down one thing you learned, a quote that stuck with you, or something you want to carry into next practice.
Your journal is your mindset teammate — it helps you stay focused, confident, and ready for anything tournament days throw at you. Use it to check in with yourself, reset between games, and stay motivated all weekend.
Set your vibe for the day: Write down one word, quote, or song lyric that gets you in the zone.
Game goals: Pick one focus for each match — like “communicate loud,” “stay calm under pressure,” or “celebrate every point.”
Between games: Take a few minutes to reflect — what went well, what do you want to fix, how’s your energy?
Hype yourself up: Write down a win from the last game or a moment you felt proud of.
Reset your mindset: If things didn’t go your way, jot down one thing you learned and how you’ll bounce back.
Team moments: Note any good vibes — high-energy huddles, supportive words, or funny moments that kept the team strong.
End-of-day reflection: What did you learn about yourself today? What’s one thing you want to bring into tomorrow?
